Cel.z goddess of demise(invisible cities)
(an Idea made a fair couple of years back)
this design is for my city that I'm doing for Isaura, it mentions in the text of "gods that live in buckets" and this old god that I created fitted the bill perfectly for the role of a worshipped figure for the city but her short story that I've given her way back adds more reason to why I chose her.
so this is Cel.z "goddess of demise", daughter of the "yellow king" Hastur. the origin of her existence was due to a conflict between Hastur and Shub-Niggurath being so great the force caused her to be born, with her body resembling mostly towards Hastur and her cloven feet resembling towards Shun-Niggurath. even after Hastur took her to his side every step Cel.z took caused the land and its creatures to rot and mutate into some black monstrosities, as time went on the outer gods and old gods felt the cruse of Cel.z slowly start to rip the wall between world apart the minions and monsters that they commanded slowly turn into black monstrosities. So they come together to put an end to this, and they ripped Cel.z from Hastur then proceeded to melt her into a black lifeless liquid mass which Cthulhu flung into the starless black where all things even old ones go to die. fortunately, the mass found it's way to earth where it burrowed underground waiting for passers-by Whispering "come, Drink, eat, down here nothing will harm you" eventually becoming one with her. no one knows of her current motives but due to her efforts a cult known as "the Drowned" was form and seems to be getting bigger and bigger her whispers intensifying inviting more and more to come and lose themselves in her sad waters.
Interesting, Coyle, but don't get bogged down (hahaha!) with characters for this project - it's environment, remember!
ReplyDeleteIt is useful, and necessary, to think about the inhabitants and their gods etc., but from previous experience, it is easy to get sidetracked once one starts shifting focus to these elements...
