travelogue amended

As your make your way across the large vast dunes in the desert you are greeted by twisted abstract figures, displayed in a multitude of different colours shapes and sizes. As you enter the city you ponder why most of the buildings that decorate the land have a full form of a feminine figure. It is due to the city’s love towards art and freedom (which was the main philosophy that every architect who helped to construct this city considered).
As for its inhabitants, the city is like the female hierarchy within the society of the Amazons (in Greek Mythology), meaning that the city is only filled with women. All the inhabitants are given equal opportunity to help provide for the city, to keep it clean and healthy, and their most important task is to make sure that every building -  which decorates the skies -  stay up for as long as they can. The structures are delicate works of art; and art is fundamental to the culture of the city. The city is made up of artists: sculptures, painters etc. who consider every structure to be precious, and thus need protecting and maintaining.
As you continue your journey, you may wonder why the buildings are such a vibrant pallet of colours. This is because the inhabitants of the city believe that everyone in the city has the gift of a unique understanding of different voices and cultures, and hence they decorate their buildings in a multitude of colours to represent that gift.  However, the question is: how would most outsiders – on a brief visit to the city – interpret the vibrant colours? Would they view it in the same way as the inhabitants – representing a unique gift?  Or would they consider the brightness of the colours as merely a façade (a trick or trap) veiling the ugliness of a back slum which the city may possess.
