Invisible cities- reflective statement

Image
with this first project that we were given in hindsight, there is a lot that I could think of that I could of improve on or Changed for the " Invisible cities " project. At the beginning of the project, I originally thought I was the bee's knees at digital art, but thanks to the lesson revolving around digital painting it opened my eyes to many new technique and styles that I didn't really either knew about or consider using. normally with digital art I would focus mainly on an image of a person then be quite minimalistic with the background, but over this first project has forced me to go out of my normal comfort zone a fair bit  focusing more on detail of the buildings and cultures. as this was the first uni project I felt that it went quite well, the workload would quite a significant change to what I knew, but the project showed me how to roughly time manage with the work given. If given the opportunity would have ...

Isaura thumbnail Ideas/ rough map layout

Image
theses are just short thumbnails of how I would possibly construct the final 3 concepts             with the different dark shades of colors giving a ominous vibe to the city of wells, the 3rd                     picture  show a temple for religious worshipers for the city the final picture just basically shows a rough Idea on how I would like the city of Isaura to be constructed and to give me a rough Idea on what i need to do for the different shots for each piece of concept art.

Cel.z goddess of demise(invisible cities)

Image
(an Idea made a fair couple of years back) this design is for my city that I'm doing for Isaura, it mentions in the text of "gods that live in buckets" and this old god that I created fitted the bill perfectly for the role of a worshipped figure for the city but her short story that I've given her way back adds more reason to why I chose her. so this is Cel.z "goddess of demise", daughter of the "yellow king" Hastur. the origin of her existence was due to a conflict between Hastur and Shub-Niggurath being so great the force caused her to be born, with her body resembling mostly towards Hastur and her cloven feet resembling towards Shun-Niggurath. even after Hastur took her to his side every step Cel.z took caused the land and its creatures to rot and mutate into some black monstrosities, as time went on the outer gods and old gods felt the cruse of Cel.z slowly start to rip the wall between world apart the minions and monsters that they...

animation-ball physics

Image
In this session were asked to animate 4 different types of animation of ball physics, the first being a short animation of a cartoon ball bouncing which required to draw to draw stretched circles throughout which from my prospective was fairly hard as my circles are not brilliant compared to drawing a normal circle.   then for the second animation we were required to animate to real psychics of a bowling ball( black )/ a ping pong ball( yellow ) and a tennis ball( purple ). with this animation real physics were required and it took a quite a few attempts to make some form of realistic animation that was expected.

King kong movie reveiw

Image
The film " King Kong " was released in 1933 by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Scholedsack. The film contained racist and sexist actions as the film followed a film producer Carl and his crew as they went to skull island in search of a tribe which ultimately lead to the capture of the lead female of the crew. After Jack saved Ann they met with the surviving crew members leading to the capture of Kong then transitioned into a theatre in new york, where they parade Kong to the public leading to his escape and iconic climb up the empire state building and then his death. The film as a whole delved into themes that back then seemed fine, but now the public would find questionable. Firstly, the stereotypical representation of other cultures like the Asian man who was part of the ships crew or the tribe representing the African based cultures. Another extreme feature was the use of Ann as a female character in the movie being greatly u...
